Archaeological Sciences in Action
This workshop, led by Dr. Evi Margaritis and her team, introduced final-year students and teachers at Pascal School to the applications of scientific methods in archaeology.

Around 35 final-year students and their teachers at Pascal School in Nicosia, learned about the meaning of archaeological science and its vital role in uncovering the past.

The Roots of Mediterranean Diet
Researchers from the Environmental Archaeology team organized an educational archaeology workshop for third and fourth grade students at the Polemi Primary School.
The workshop focused on crops, diet, and livestock farming in Cyprus during antiquity, as part of the Institute’s effort to disseminate scientific knowledge to remote communities and strengthen children’s contact with their cultural heritage.
The OneArchSci project was also presented. Through OneArchSci, the Cyprus Institute reaffirms its commitment to promoting archaeological science, strengthening regional cooperation, and addressing contemporary global challenges with knowledge from the past.

Connecting Kids with Cyprus’ Heritage
Around 50 students and teachers at Polemi Primary School in Paphos learned about the diet of ancient Cyprus. This workshop is part of Dr. Margaritis and her team’s ongoing effort to visit mountainous villages across Cyprus and engage young minds in exploring the island’s past.

A workshop hosted by Anassa Hotel and organized by Dr. Evi Margaritis and her research team (Environmental Archaeology) introduced children from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, along with their parents, to the principles and applications of archaeological science.

Around 20 children from abroad, together with their parents, were introduced to the field of archaeological science.

Advancing BEMME research and education.
A Workshop at Koufonisi
A workshop for third- and fourth-grade students at Koufonisi Primary School, attended by 30 participants including five teachers, was organized by Dr. Evi Margaritis and her Environmental Archaeology research team.
The workshop introduced students to the excavation of KEROS, a key component of the OneArchSci project.
